Mike James is a retired American football player and was the first active NFL player to file for a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) specifically for cannabis, a controversial decision that has thrust Mike into the global spotlight as an advocate to bring medical cannabis use out of the shadows as an alternative to addictive opioids. 

Mike is also an advocate for communities affected most by systematic racism. This purpose fuels most of  Mike’s personal and business endeavors. He looks to continue building on his work in these respective spaces to effectively improve health and wellbeing now and for future generations.

Dr. Martin is a career educator and researcher with more than 20 years of experience working at prominent institutions of higher learning. His keen interest in democratizing education and examining consumer behavior has led to various roles focused on elevating the climate and culture of educational settings.
